I have inherited a formidable and enduring legacy of efficient and effective disaster management in Uttar Pradesh by Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (UP SDMA). I am cognizant of the enormous responsibility that lies ahead.

   Since its inception on 12th January 2011, UP SDMA has worked inexorably to make Uttar Pradesh disaster resilient, from the State to the Villages and its community, by reaching out to the last mile, in an effort to save every life from the impact of disasters. On this occasion, I express my sincere thanks to one and all for their unstinted contribution to bring the Authority to its current standing.

   I am aware of the aspirations of the community and shall leave no stone unturned to meet them. To fulfil the vision of Hon'ble Chief Minister, of a disaster resilient Uttar Pradesh with zero avoidable casualties, a focused and cohort effort is required from all stakeholders. I look forward to a wholehearted support of one and all.
